To ask the Scottish Government what steps it is taking to support people with a gambling addiction.
Answer
The Scottish Government is committed to delivering faster access to psychological therapies for people with mental illness or disorders, including those who are addicted to gambling which is recognised as a type of impulse-control disorder. The delivery of psychological therapies is a core part of NHS activity, all of which is fully funded by the Scottish Government. NHS boards have made good progress in recent years in improving access to many psychological therapies.

To ask the Scottish Government what steps it is taking to record the number of people sleeping rough.
Answer
The Scottish Government asks local authorities to submit data on rough sleeping though the HL1 homelessness data collection.
The HL1 data collection asks the following two questions on rough sleeping:
Has any member of the applicant household slept rough during the three months preceding their application?
Did any member of the applicant household sleep rough on the night immediately preceding the date of application?
Information on rough sleeping is published in the annual homelessness statistics. The most recent statistics on rough sleeping for 2013-14 are available at:
http://www.gov.scot/Publications/2014/06/3967/3.

To ask the Scottish Government what steps it is taking to tackle homelessness.
Answer
Tackling and preventing homelessness is a priority for the Scottish Government and work to address this is overseen by the Homelessness Prevention and Strategy Group, on which I sit as minister with our partners.
Homelessness has been falling in recent years and this has continued in the most recent statistics published in January, when homelessness applications fell by 3% on the previous year.
This is due to the steps we have taken to support local authorities and others to prevent homelessness through the development of the housing options approach.

To ask the Scottish Government what progress it has made with the establishment of a Scottish land reform commission.
Answer
The current consultation on the future of land reform in Scotland proposes a package of measures to further the land reform agenda in Scotland, including the formation of a Scottish land reform commission.
There are questions in the current consultation designed to help develop the structure, role and remit of the proposed Scottish land reform commission. We anticipate that the commission could have oversight of a number of matters including the promotion of land reform, collecting evidence, carrying out studies and monitoring the impact and effect of law, policies and practices on land ownership in Scotland.
We very much look forward to responses to the consultation on all of our proposals for furthering land reform in Scotland.
