To ask the Scottish Executive what meetings are planned with representatives of the For Scotland’s Disabled Children campaign to discuss the £34 million allocated to Scotland as a result of the UK Government's announcement of an extra £340 million for disabled children.

Officials haveheld informal discussions with stakeholders on issues connected with AimingHigh for Disabled Children but no formal meetings are currently planned.

Answer
The ComprehensiveSpending Review settlement for Scotland announced by the Chancellor on 9 October 2007 will become part of the total funding available to the Scottish Government, on which our own Strategic Spending Review considerations willbe based. Scottish ministers decide their own priorities for the use of all moneyin the Scottish Block – including consequentials flowing from the UK Government’sannouncement of an extra £340 million for disabled children - and the Cabinet Secretaryfor Finance and Sustainable Growth will announce how they have decided to use themin mid-November.

To ask the Scottish Executive what measures are being put in place to ensure that projects dependant on the Community Regeneration Fund are sustained pending the outcome of the comprehensive spending review.
Answer
A decision on thefuture of the Community Regeneration Fund (CRF) will be taken immediatelyfollowing completion of the Strategic Spending Review. However, I can confirmthat as an interim measure, I have instructed officials to write to allCommunity Planning Partnerships to inform them that in order to ensure amanaged transition to new arrangements, the Scottish Government will guaranteeeach Partnership at least one quarter of their CRF allocation for the currentyear, in 2008-09.

To ask the Scottish Executive in what ways its proposed new skills body will address the needs of those furthest from the labour market.
Answer
It will be for thenew skills body to propose how it will seek to address the needs of those furthestfrom the labour market. However, in considering the needs of those furthest fromthe labour market, Skills for Scotland sets out our ambition for an integrated employmentand skills service delivered through partnership working at a local and nationallevel. The new body will have a clear role in ensuring this is achieved.

To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answers to questions S3W-3167, 3168, 3169 and 3170 by Stewart Maxwell on 4 September 2007, whether it will release all the responses made to the consultation on draft Scottish Planning Policy 11: Physical Activity and Open Space (SPP 11) specifying what proportion of these responses opposes a presumption against development on urban green space and what proportion opposes a statutory responsibility to consult where a proposal seeks to develop on greenbelt.

To ask the Scottish Executive what progress has been made in merging Careers Scotland and learndirect Scotland to form a new skills body.
Answer
Scottishministers, following the announcements on 10 and 26 September 2007 are taking forward the establishment of the new skillsbody with a view to having a shell organisation set up by the start of 2008, witha more formalised body in place by the end of this financial year.
