Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-21584 by Cathy Jamieson on 22 December 2005, why it has not said whether it has made any assessment of the details of the case being pursued by the American Civil Liberties Union on behalf of Khaled al-Masri in relation to its assessment of whether or not to investigate the claims that US agencies have used Scottish airports as refuelling stops for flights engaged in the process of “extraordinary rendition”.
