To ask the Scottish Executive when it anticipates the construction of the new Dumbarton Academy will (a) commence and (b) be completed
Answer
The construction timetable for Dumbarton Academy has not yet been determined by West Dunbartonshire Council as the procurement process has not been completed for the school. The Scottish Government''s contribution towards Dumbarton Academy will commence in 2011-12.

Answer
Infertility Network Scotland''s interim report was discussed at the second meeting of the National Infertility Group on 13 July, and the report will be published on the maternity services website www.maternityservices.scot.nhs.uk and a copy placed in the Scottish Parliament Information Centre (Bib. number 51348) at the end of July 2010.

To ask the Scottish Executive what impact it expects that the increase in VAT from 17.5% to 20% will have on NHS dentistry services in one year.
Answer
No specific assessment has been undertaken on the effects of the VAT increase on dentists who provide NHS general dental services. However, we do provide considerable financial support through a series of allowances to help support dental practice costs in Scotland.

As I said on 3 June, the detailed remit and operation of the scrutiny group will be finalised in consultation with the stakeholders involved. Members of the group have been asked to submit their views on membership, remit and operation of the group. The first meeting of the group will take place on 4 August 2010.
