There may be a point of order.
On a point of order, Presiding Officer. It has been brought to my attention by colleagues that some of the remarks that I made in this morning's energy debate may have been taken out of context and misinterpreted. The reference that I made was not literal, but metaphorical. People who know me will know that I had no intention of causing offence but, if anyone was genuinely offended, I unreservedly withdraw the remark and apologise to members and to people outside the Parliament.
I am grateful to Mr Wilson for addressing the issue so quickly. I hope, however, that we shall have no similar analogies or metaphors in the chamber in future.
