On a point of order, Presiding Officer. It has been confirmed in the past few minutes that the Scottish Government has sought an extension for the delivery of farm payments, as it will fail to meet next week’s deadline. Members will know that Ruth Davidson twice asked the First Minister earlier today to confirm whether that was the case and the First Minister refused to answer. Will the Presiding Officer advise members what the point is of First Minister’s question time if the First Minister will not answer simple questions?
I note the member’s comments, which are now a matter of record. Members, including the leader of the Opposition, will have plenty of opportunities to raise the matter in the chamber next week, should they so wish.
