1. Declaration of interests:

David Torrance was invited to declare any relevant interests. No such interests were declared.

The following interests were declared in relation to Agenda item 2—

Jeremy Balfour declared an interest as a recipient of Personal Independence Payment, and as a former member of the First-tier Tribunal.


2. Social Security (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill:

The Committee considered the Bill at Stage 2 (Day 1).

The following amendments were agreed to (without division): 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 109, 110, 111, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50 and 51.

Amendment 29 was agreed to (by division: For 6, Against 2, Abstentions 0)

The Committee ended consideration of the Bill for the day amendment 51 having been disposed of.


3. Work programme (In Private):

The Committee considered its work programme. The Committee agreed not to respond to the Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee's call for views for its Framework legislation and Henry VIII powers inquiry.
