1. Declaration of interests:

The Committee took evidence on the Disability Assistance (Miscellaneous Amendment) (Scotland) Regulations 2023 from—

Shirley-Anne Somerville, Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, Oliver Wain, Policy Manager, Disability Benefits Policy, Social Security Directorate and Madeleine Macphail, Solicitor, Scottish Government .

Shirley-Anne Somerville (Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice) moved—S6M-10409—That the Social Justice and Social Security Committee recommends that the Disability Assistance (Miscellaneous Amendment) (Scotland) Regulations 2023 [draft] be approved.

5. Pre-Budget Scrutiny 2024-25 (In Private):

The Committee considered a draft report on its Pre-Budget Scrutiny 2024-25. Various changes were agreed to, and the Committee agreed to consider a revised draft, in private, at its next meeting.
