1. Declaration of interests:

Elena Whitham MSP was invited to declare any relevant interests. Elena Whitham MSP declared an interest as a councillor in East Ayrshire Council.


2. Choice of Convener:

The Committee chose Elena Whitham MSP as its Convener.


3. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee took evidence on the Disability Assistance for Working Age People (Scotland) Regulations 2022 and the Social Security Information-sharing (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2022 from—

Ben Macpherson, Minister for Social Security and Local Government, Kayleigh Blair, Solicitor, David Hilber, Team Leader, Case Transfer Policy, Nathan Gale, Team Leader, Disability Benefits Policy and Camilo Arredondo, Solicitor, Scottish Government ;

4. Subordinate legislation:

Ben Macpherson (Minister for Social Security and Local Government) moved—S6M-02604—That the Social Justice and Social Security Committee recommends that the Disability Assistance for Working Age People (Scotland) Regulations 2022 be approved.
