The Committee considered a proposal by the Scottish Government to consent to the UK Government legislating using the powers under the European Union Withdrawal Act 2018 in relation to the following UK statutory instrument proposal—
The Plant Health (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2022
The Committee agreed that the provisions set out in the notification should be included in the UK SI.
The Committee considered its work programme and agreed to undertake some follow up scrutiny following its roundtable evidence session on inshore fisheries. The Committee also agreed to undertake some scrutiny of aquaculture and salmon farming. The Committee agreed to consider more detailed proposals at a future meeting.
