1. Climate and nature emergencies:
The Committee took evidence from—
Professor Sir Dieter Helm, Professor of Economic Policy, Oxford University;
and then from—
Ian Dickie, Director, eftec (Economics for the Environment).
Eilidh Mactaggart, Chief Executive, Scottish National Investment Bank
Jo Pike, Chief Executive, Scottish Wildlife Trust;
Dr Pat Snowdon, Head of Economics and Woodland Carbon Code.
2. Subordinate legislation:
The Committee considered the following negative instrument—
Private Storage Aid Scheme (Pigmeat) (Scotland) Regulations 2021 (SSI 2021/398).
The Committee agreed to make no recommendations in relation to the instrument. The Committee also agreed to write to the Scottish Government seeking further information on a number of points.

The Committee reviewed the evidence heard at this, and previous, meetings.

The Committee agreed to defer this item to the next meeting.
