Minutes: 06 February 2024

1. Circular Economy (Scotland) Bill (in private):

The Committee considered a draft Stage 1 report.

Various changes were agreed to. The Committee agreed to consider a revised draft at its next meeting.

The Committee also agreed to make a request to the Parliamentary Bureau for approval to hold an additional meeting on Wednesday 21 February 2024, during a meeting of the Parliament, to consider the draft report.

2. Work programme (in private):

The Committee considered its work programme.

The Committee agreed to take evidence on Scotland's rail services and on natural capital finance at meetings after February recess.

The Committee also agreed to write to the Cabinet Secretary for Wellbeing Economy, Fair Work and Energy regarding Ferguson Marine's January 2024 interim update.

3. Scottish Biodiversity Strategy (draft Delivery Plan) (in private):

The Committee considered a draft letter to the Scottish Government.

Various changes were agreed to. The Committee delegated to the Convener responsibility for finalising the draft letter for publication.
