1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take item 3 in private.

2. A modern and sustainable ferry service for Scotland:

The Committee took evidence from—

Dr Alf Baird, Former Professor of Maritime Business and Director of the Maritime Transport Research Group, Edinburgh Napier University;

Neil M Kay, Professor Emeritus, Economics Department, University of Strathclyde;

Roy Pedersen, Author and Consultant;

and then from—

Angus Campbell, Chair, Angus D Campbell, Member, Cumbrae and Kirsty MacFarlane, Member, Isle of Coll, Ferries Community Board.

Monica Lennon indicated that she is a Member of the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers Parliamentary Group.

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2.
