2. Transfer of operation of ScotRail:

The Committee took evidence from—

Mick Hogg, Regional Organiser and Lead Officer for ScotRail and Caledonian Sleeper, National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT);

Gary Kelly, Organiser, Scotland and Ireland, Transport Salaried Staffs' Association;

Kevin Lindsay, District Organiser, Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen;

Robert Samson, Senior Stakeholder Manager, Transport Focus;

and then from—

Alex Hynes, Managing Director, Scotland's Railway;

David Lowrie, Chief Executive Officer, Scottish Rail Holdings Ltd;

Joanne Maguire, Chief Operating Officer, ScotRail Trains Ltd;

Liam Sumpter, Route Director, Network Rail Scotland.

Monica Lennon indicated that she is a member of the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers Parliamentary Group.

3. Transfer of operation of ScotRail (in private):

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2.

The Committee agreed to invite the Minister for Transport to give evidence on ScotRail at a future meeting.

4. A modern and sustainable ferry service for Scotland (in private):

The Committee considered a draft report.

The Committee agreed to consider a revised draft at its next meeting.
