1. Declaration of interests:

The Convener welcomed Ash Regan to the Committee and invited her to declare any relevant interests. Ash Regan indicated that she had no interests to declare.

2. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take item 4 in private.

3. A modern and sustainable ferry service for Scotland:

The Committee took evidence from—

Gordon Martin, Regional Organiser and Lead Officer for CalMac Ferries, National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT);

Martyn Gray, Executive Officer, Nautilus International.

Monica Lennon indicated that she is a member of the RMT Scottish Parliamentary Group.
