1. Work programme(In Private):
The Committee considered its work programme. The Committee agreed to take evidence from selected witnesses on the outcome of 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26). The Committee also agreed to hold an inquiry into progress in meeting the Scottish Government’s net zero targets, with a focus on the role of local government and to consider a more detailed approach to the proposed inquiry in due course. The Committee also agreed to write to the Scottish Government seeking more information in relation to the proposed Waste and Agriculture (Legislative Functions) Regulations 2021.
2. Pre-Budget Scrutiny(In Private):
The Committee considered and agreed a draft letter to the Scottish Government in advance of publication of the Scottish Government’s 2022-23 budget.
