1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee decided to take items 3 and 4 in private.

2. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee took evidence on the Valuation and Rating (Coronavirus) (Scotland) Order 2021 from—

Marc Crothall, Chief Executive, Scottish Tourism Alliance;

Stuart Mackinnon, Head of Communications and Public Affairs, Federation of Small Businesses;

Leon Thompson, Executive Director, UK Hospitality;

Paul Togneri, Senior Policy Manager, Scottish Beer & Pub Association;

Colin Wilkinson, Managing Director, Scottish Licensed Trade Association.

The following interests were declared—

Meghan Gallacher as a councillor in North Lanarkshire Council;

Paul McLennan as a councillor in East Lothian Council; and

Elena Whitham as a councillor in East Ayrshire Council.

The Committee considered evidence heard earlier in the meeting.

4. Pre-Budget Scrutiny:

The Committee considered Pre-Budget correspondence to the Scottish Government. Various changes were agreed to and the correspondence was agreed.
