Letter from the Convener of the Economy and Fair Work Committee to the Convener - 17 December 2021
Dear Ariane,
Further to my letter of 15 November about scrutiny of the draft National
Planning Framework 4 (NPF4), the Committee has now had an opportunity to
consider its work programme.
The Committee agreed to take up an offer from the Parliament’s Participation
and Communities Team (PACT) to gather views from stakeholders and the
public as part of the event being organised for your Committee on 7 February.
The Committee agreed that a useful focus for PACT’s work would be 20-minute
communities and this will feed-in to wider work the Committee plans to do on
town centre economies. The Committee also agreed that once NPF4 has been
finalised, it may seek to hear from business on what it means for them.
