1. UK subordinate legislation:

The Committee considered a proposal by the Scottish Government to consent to the UK Government legislating in a devolved area as set out in the following UK statutory instrument proposal—

The Recognition and Enforcement of Judgments (2019 Hague Convention etc.) Regulations 2024.

2. Suicide Prevention in Scotland:

The Committee took evidence from—

Professor Rory O'Connor, University of Glasgow;

Dr Hazel Marzetti, University of Edinburgh;

and then from—

Dr Amy Knighton, Royal College of General Practitioners;

Dr Murray Smith, Royal College of Psychiatrists in Scotland;

Sam Campbell, Health Improvement Principal, Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership;

Dr Jane Bray, Consultant in Public Health, NHS Tayside.

3. Gender Representation on Public Boards (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill:

The Committee considered the Bill at Stage 2.

4. Suicide Prevention in Scotland (In Private):

The Committee agreed to consider the evidence it heard under agenda item 2 at a future meeting.

5. HIV anti-stigma campaign/Achieving Zero New Transmission of HIV in Scotland by 2030 (In Private):

The Committee agreed a draft letter to the Scottish Government.
