The Committee agreed to take item 4 in private.
The Committee heard evidence from—
Tony McDaid, Executive Director of Education Resources, South Lanarkshire Council representing the Association of Directors of Education in Scotland (ADES); and Audrey May, Head of Service, Children and Families, Dundee City Council representing the Association of Directors of Education in Scotland (ADES);
and then from—
Larry Flanagan, General Secretary, Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS);Michael Marra MSP declared he is a Councillor for Dundee City Council.
Stephanie Callaghan MSP declared that she is a Councillor for South Lanarkshire.
Kaukab Stewart MSP declared that she was a previous member of the EIS, an associate member of NASUWT and a member of the General Teaching Council Scotland (GTCS).
Bob Doris MSP declared that he was a former Secondary teacher and a former member of the EIS.
The Committee decided to consider the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2 at its meeting on the 29th September.
The Committee agreed its work programme.
