1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take items 6 and 7 in private.


2. Scotland's supply chain:

The Committee took evidence from—

Ivan McKee, Minister for Business, Trade, Tourism and Enterprise, Scottish Government.


3. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee took evidence on the Registers of Scotland (Digital Registration, etc.) Regulations 2022 from—

Tom Arthur, Minister for Public Finance, Planning and Community Wealth and Graham Fisher,Deputy Director Scottish Government Legal Directorate, Scottish Government ;

Harry Murray, Policy Lead, Registers of Scotland.


4. Subordinate legislation:

Tom Arthur (Minister for Public Finance, Planning and Community Wealth) moved—

S6M-02599—That the Economy and Fair Work Committee recommends that the Registers of Scotland (Digital Registration, etc.) Regulations 2022 be approved.

The motion was agreed to without division.


5. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee considered and noted the following negative instrument— 

Consumer Scotland (Designated Regulators) Regulations 2021 




6. Scotland’s supply chain:

The Committee considered the evidence heard earlier in the meeting.


7. Work programme:

The Committee considered arrangements for its next inquiry and agreed on the call for written views.
