1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take items 6, 7 and 8 in private.


2. Evidence session with the Minister for Parliamentary Business:

The Committee took evidence from—

George Adam, Minister for Parliamentary Business, Steven Macgregor,Head of Parliament and Legislation Unit, Rachel Rayner,Deputy Legislation Co-ordinator, Scottish Government Legal Directorate and Nicola Wisdahl,LCM and Subordinate Legislation Programme Team Leader, Scottish Government .


3. Instruments subject to affirmative procedure:

The Committee agreed that no points arose on the following— 

Registration of Social Workers and Social Service Workers in Care Services (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2024 (SSI 2024/Draft)




4. Instruments subject to negative procedure:

The Committee agreed that no points arose on the following— 

Scottish Social Services Council (Appointments, Procedure and Access to the Register) Amendment Regulations 2024 (SSI 2024/74)




5. Instruments not subject to any parliamentary procedure:

The Committee agreed that no points arose on the following— 

Act of Sederunt (Rules of the Court of Session 1994 Amendment) (Payment and Electronic Money Institution Special Administration) 2024 (SSI 2024/75)




6. Social Security (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill (in private):

The Committee considered the Scottish Government's response to points raised on the delegated powers provisions in this Bill at Stage 1. It agreed to report to the lead Committee on the Bill, the Social Justice and Social Security Committee, subject to signing-off final changes via correspondence.


7. Wildlife Management and Muirburn (Scotland) Bill (in private):

The Committee considered the delegated powers provisions in this Bill after Stage 2. It agreed to report to the Parliament.



8. Evidence session with the Minister for Parliamentary Business (in private):

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier in the meeting and agreed to write to the Scottish Government.
