1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take items 6 and 7 in private.




4. Instruments not subject to any parliamentary procedure:

The Committee agreed that no points arose on the following—

Planning (Scotland) Act 2019 (Commencement No. 14) Regulations 2024 (SSI 2024/252 (C.21))




5. Evidence session with the Minister for Parliamentary Business:

The Committee took evidence from—

Jamie Hepburn, Minister for Parliamentary Business, accompanied by Douglas Kerr, Deputy Legislation Co-ordinator, Scottish Government Legal Department, Steven Macgregor, Head of Parliament and Legislation Unit and Nicola Wisdahl, LCM and Subordinate Legislation Programme Team Leader, Scottish Government .


6. Education (Scotland) Bill (in private):

The Committee considered the Scottish Government's response to points raised on the delegated powers provisions in this Bill at Stage 1. It agreed to report to the lead committee, the Education, Children and Young People Committee.


7. Evidence session with the Minister for Parliamentary Business (in private):

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier in the meeting and agreed to write to the Scottish Government.
