The Committee took evidence on the Bill at Stage 1 from—

Keith Brown, Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Veterans, Jennifer Stoddart, Community Justice Division and Philip Lamont, Criminal Justice Division, Scottish Government.

2. Bail and Release from Custody (Scotland) Bill (In Private):

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 1.

3. Work programme (In Private):

The Committee considered its work programme. The Committee agreed to invite Keith Brown, Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Veterans, and Teresa Medhurst, Chief Executive of the Scottish Prison Service, to give evidence on the management of transgender prisoners.
