1. Bail and Release from Custody (Scotland) Bill:
The Committee took evidence on the Bill at Stage 1 from—
Jim Kerr, Interim Deputy Chief Executive, Scottish Prison Service;
John Watt, Chair, Parole Board for Scotland;
Mark McSherry, Chief Executive, Risk Management Authority;
and then from—
Kenny Donnelly, Procurator Fiscal, Policy and Engagement, Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service;
David Fraser, Executive Director Court Operations, Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service.
2. National Care Service (Scotland) Bill (In Private):
The Committee considered a draft report to the Health, Social Care and Sport Committee. Various changes were agreed to, and the Committee agreed to consider a revised draft, at a future meeting.
3. Bail and Release from Custody (Scotland) Bill (In Private):
The Committee agreed to defer consideration of the evidence heard to a future meeting.
