1. Coronavirus (Recovery and Reform) (Scotland) Bill:

The Committee considered the Bill at Stage 2.

The following amendments were agreed to (without division): 1003, 1005, 1006, 1007, 1047, 1048, 1008 and 1004.

2. Online Safety Bill (UK Parliament legislation):

The Committee took evidence on legislative consent memorandum LCM(S6)18 from—

Keith Brown, Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Veterans and Patrick Down, Criminal Justice Division, Scottish Government.


3. Online Safety Bill (UK Parliament legislation):

The Committee considered the legislative consent memorandum lodged by Keith Brown, Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Veterans (LCM(S6)18). The Committee agreed that the Scottish Parliament should give its consent to the relevant provisions in the Online Safety Bill as set out in the Scottish Government’s draft motion.


4. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee took evidence on the Legal Aid and Advice and Assistance (Miscellaneous Amendment) (Scotland) (No. 2) Regulations 2022 from—

Keith Brown, Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Veterans and Justin Haccius, Unit Head, Access to Justice, Scottish Government.


5. Subordinate legislation:

Keith Brown (Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Veterans) moved—

S6M-04413—That the Criminal Justice Committee recommends that the Legal Aid and Advice and Assistance (Miscellaneous Amendment) (Scotland) (No. 2) Regulations 2022 [draft] be approved.

The motion was agreed to.
