Remote Piloted Aircraft Systems (Drones)
Letter from Police Scotland to the Convener, Criminal Justice Committee, 31 May 2021
Dear Convener Elect
Remote Piloted Aircraft Systems (Drones)
Further to the Justice Sub Committee on Policing report on Drones dated 18 March 2021, I would like to offer specific information in relation to the conclusions and recommendations raised.
For ease of reference, I have included the 21 conclusions and 27 recommendations in the table labelled Appendix ‘A’ and attached the updates to them.
I trust this provides you with reassurance around the measures that the Police Service of Scotland have in place to address the recommendations and conclusions raised. However, please do not hesitate to contact me should you require anything further.
Yours sincerely
Mark Williams
Assistant Chief Constable
