The Criminal Justice Committee, Health, Social Care and Sport Committee and Social Justice and Social Security Committee are working together to consider the progress made on the implementation of the recommendations of the Scottish Drug Deaths Taskforce.
On 31 May 2022, the three Committees led a Chamber debate on tackling drug deaths and drug harm.

The Committees met jointly on the following occasions:
A people’s panel has been setup to consider the question ‘What does Scotland need to do differently to reduce drug related harms?’ The findings of the panel will help inform the Health, Social Care and Sport Committee, the Criminal Justice Committee and the Social Justice and Social Security Committee scrutiny of this issue.
