Reacting to the news that Chris Stark has decided to move on from his role as Chief Executive of the Climate Change Committee, Convener of the Scottish Parliament’s Net Zero, Energy & Transport Committee, Edward Mountain MSP, said;
“I would like to thank Chris for his long-standing commitment to climate change policy making and scrutiny in Scotland. Our committee, and the Parliament more widely, have benefitted from his in-depth knowledge and understanding of Scottish specific issues and solutions over these many years. He has been an effective critical friend of the Parliament, and we wish him well in his new role.
“We look forward to the on-going support the Climate Change Committee will doubtlessly offer as we await the Scottish Government’s next comprehensive climate change plan being laid in the Parliament later this year.”
