Festival of Politics returns
Our 20th Festival of Politics will take place between Monday 19 August to Friday 23 August. There will be a five-day programme of over 30 events, in the home of Scottish politics at Holyrood.
Eric Liddell: Legacy of an Olympic Legend exhibition
The Scottish Parliament is hosting a free exhibition commemorating the athlete Eric Liddell from 25 July to 12 September. This marks the centenary of Liddell’s iconic Olympic gold medal victory in Paris in 1924.
Visiting during recess
The Scottish Parliament is in recess until 2 September. During this period, no Chamber or committee meetings are expected to take place.
The Parliament building is open to visitors every day from 10am to 5pm.
Please note that the Debating Chamber is closed for maintenance from 5 to 12 August.

Annabelle Ewing and Liam McArthur are Deputy Presiding Officers (DPOs).

Petitions are a way to ask the Parliament to do something.
Any person or organisation can submit a petition: you do not have to be a certain age or live in Scotland.
MSPs cannot submit a petition but they can support them.
