  • Motion reference: S6M-13033

That the Parliament congratulates the pupils and staff of Low Port Primary School, in Linlithgow, on attaining a prestigious sportscotland Gold School Sport Award; recognises that this national award supports schools to put young people at the heart of decision-making, planning and implementation of projects; welcomes that schools are actively encouraged to continuously self-reflect and improve; notes that there are three award levels of Bronze, Silver and Gold; commends what it sees as the valuable work of sportscotland in enabling schools to feel supported through each level to encourage and increase young people’s opportunities and engagement in physical education, school sport and leadership, providing clear pathways to life-long participation in sport; understands that schools hold their Gold Sport Award for two years from the date of the award, and wishes the pupils and staff of Low Port Primary School continued enjoyment and success in their sporting activities.
