Under the Clyde and Hebrides Ferry Service contract, performance deductions can be applied by in certain circumstances.

The level of performance deductions by Contract Year incurred by CalMac Ferries Ltd is detailed below:

Pay and performance is a matter for CalMac Ferries Limited (CFL). Scottish Ministers have no role to play in any pay negotiations. The information on performance payments to senior staff is reported and available in the David MacBrayne Limited accounts.

The welfare of all displaced Ukrainians staying across the country remains the Scottish Government’s priority.

The Scottish Government has not sought assistance from the British Army in order to assist Ukrainian refugees who have arrived in Scotland.

No additional funding is provided to CalMac Ferries Limited to offset performance deductions. Any performance deductions incurred are applied as a reduction in the grant subsidy paid by Transport Scotland for operating the ferry services.

The Scottish Government did not receive any business cases for funding to host the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest from Glasgow City Council, the City of Edinburgh Council or Aberdeen City Council prior to the announcement of the final shortlist. As no business cases were received, the Scottish Government provided no funding for this to any of the three councils.

This question relates to operational matters that are the responsibility of the Scottish Court and Tribunals Service (SCTS) corporate body. The question has been passed to the Chief Executive of the SCTS who will reply in writing within 20 days

We understand that Glasgow City Council, together with Glasgow Life and the SEC, are working closely to develop a bid to host the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. While no funding has been provided or committed by Scottish Ministers, we will consider the business case for support for any bid once received.

While it is for local authorities across the UK to make their bids to the BBC to host Eurovision, Scottish Government officials have been in regular contact with UK Government counterparts regarding the selection of the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest host city. We understand that Glasgow City Council, together with Glasgow Life and the SEC, are working closely to develop a bid to host the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.

Delivering on our 2021 Programme for Government commitment, the Scottish Government consulted on proposals for legal services regulation reform. An independent consultation analysis report was published in July 2022.

The report highlighted that all respondents, regardless of affiliation, shared as a common aspiration, the need for any future model to be transparent, open to public scrutiny and efficient to ensure that justice remains accessible to all.

The Scottish Government will respond to the consultation analysis report later this year. We continue to engage with stakeholders to collaboratively consider reform of the regulation of legal services, to provide for a modern regulatory framework for Scotland that will best promote competition, innovation and the public and consumer interest in an efficient and independent legal sector.
