That the Parliament congratulates the pupils and staff of Broomhouse Primary School on receiving the Gold School Sport Award from sportscotland in recognition of the sporting links forged between the school and the community and the opportunities that sport provides, putting sport at the heart of its school planning, practice and ethos; recognises that young people are at the heart of decision-making, planning and implementation of projects; welcomes that schools are encouraged to continuously self-reflect, improve, recognise and celebrate successful school sport models; commends what it sees as the valuable work of sportscotland in enabling schools to feel supported through the Bronze, Silver and Gold level stages to encourage and increase young people’s opportunities and engagement in physical education, school sport and leadership, providing clear pathways to life-long participation in sport; understands that schools hold their Gold Sport Award for two years from the date of the award, and wishes the pupils and staff of Broomhouse Primary School continued success and enjoyment from their sporting activities.
