  • Submitted by: Michelle Thomson, Falkirk East, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 25 March 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-12627

That the Parliament congratulates CVS Falkirk on its recent 10th anniversary, celebrated at its yearly funders fayre, which was held at the Bowhouse Community Centre in Grangemouth on 19 March 2024; understands that the annual funders fayre is designed to support third sector, charity and voluntary organisations and social enterprises to meet with a range of diverse funders and increase awareness of the various grant funding schemes available; understands that CVS Falkirk and District is recognised by the Scottish Government and Falkirk Community Planning Partnership (CPP) as the third sector interface for the entire Falkirk District area, with the organisation playing what it sees as a critical role in ensuring the continuation and development of a vibrant third sector within Falkirk’s communities; congratulates CVS Falkirk once again on its 10th anniversary and the success of its annual funders fayre, and thanks CVS Falkirk for all the hard work that it does to ensure critical support for what it considers to be Scotland’s crucial third sector.
