That the Parliament notes the conclusions and recommendations contained in the Public Audit Committee's 1st Report, 2024 (Session 6), Adult mental health (SP Paper 532).

That the Parliament notes that the Taiwanese inauguration ceremony of the 16th President, Dr. Lai Ching-te, and Vice President, Hsiao Bi-khim, will be held in Taipei on 20 May 2024; considers that the ceremony represents Taiwan’s success in the democratic process; understands that the new cabinet will aim to promote policies under the National Project of Hope, including in relation to economic development, care for the disadvantaged, safeguarding public safety, food safety, road safety, campus safety and internet security, and welcomes the incoming administration's reported aims to continue to value the relationship between Taiwan and Scotland, and to remain committed to exploring more potential areas where Scotland and Taiwan can cooperate to strengthen closer economic and academic relations.

That the Parliament celebrates along with Wallace High School, in Stirling, after its senior girls team’s historic Scottish Cup victory at Hampden; understands that the school’s under-18s defeated St Ninian’s High from Giffnock in the end-of-season game at the national stadium; notes that Wallace High won with a 1-0 victory and received the Scottish Schools’ Football Association Shield; understands that this season, the team won its local league and league cup competitions and is part of Wallace High’s School of Sport, which was launched in November 2012 and now supports its pupils’ potential in football, rugby, swimming, dance and basketball; expresses its pride and recognition of all the hard work and determination of players, coaches and school community; commends the support of the school’s parents, carers and wider local community, and extends its very best wishes for continued success to everyone in the team and the school for the future.

That the Parliament congratulates the Russell Anderson Foundation for raising £102,287 at its fifth annual charity ball at the Chester Hotel in Aberdeen on 10 May 2024; understands that the Foundation, which was founded in 2012 by former Aberdeen FC captain and Scotland international, Russell Anderson, works with over 2,000 children across 12 partner schools in Aberdeen, empowering them to make good decisions by focusing on health, wellbeing and being physically active, as well as improving attainment levels through various initiatives such as practical cooking lessons, food support, mentoring programmes, workplace visits and employability opportunities; further understands that the event, which was a masked ball attended by over 300 guests, was sponsored by Fowler McKenzie, Aberdein Considine Wealth, RAM Tubulars, and McIntosh Plant Hire and Heavy Logistics, with many other organisations contributing auction items and prizes, including a Tag Heuer watch donated by local jeweller, Jamieson and Carry; recognises the hard work of the Foundation's staff in putting the event together, particularly Graeme Burnett and Louise Douglas, and hopes that the funds raised will allow the Russell Anderson Foundation to support many more children and their families in making positive lifestyle changes that allow them to reach their true potential. 

That the Parliament congratulates the pupils of Laxdale Primary School in the Western Isles on winning the Keep Scotland Beautiful’s Spring Clean Litter League for the Highlands and Islands region; understands that the competition formed part of the charity’s annual spring clean, which saw more than 40,000 people get involved in the events, and recognises that 29 bags of litter were collected by the 51 children who helped to clean up the Isle of Lewis.

That the Parliament congratulates the members of Clermiston Litterati and 30th Craigalmond Scouts, in Edinburgh, on winning the Keep Scotland Beautiful’s Spring Clean Litter League for the Edinburgh and Lothian region; understands that the competition formed part of the charity’s annual spring clean, which saw more than 40,000 people get involved in the events, and recognises that 20 bags of litter were collected by the 20 children who helped to clean up Edinburgh.

That the Parliament congratulates Our Lady and St Patrick’s teacher, Ms Sharkey, on winning Eco-Coordinator of the year 2024, a top prize in the annual Eco-Schools Scotland Awards, which is organised by the environmental charity, Keep Scotland Beautiful; understands that nominees were from more than 30 Eco-Schools Green Flag waving schools across 17 local authorities, and notes that Ms Sharkey took the top spot for her commitment and dedication to learning for sustainability.

That the Parliament agrees to the general principles of the Post Office (Horizon System) Offences (Scotland) Bill.

That the Parliament, for the purposes of any Act of the Scottish Parliament resulting from the Social Security (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill, agrees to—

(a) any expenditure of a kind referred to in Rule 9.12.3A of the Parliament’s Standing Orders arising in consequence of the Act, and

(b) any charge or payment in relation to which Rule 9.12.4 of the Parliament’s Standing Orders applies arising in consequence of the Act.
