That the Parliament welcomes the news that Stirling and District Classic Car Club will again be raising much-needed funds for a range of local charities at its annual show on 12 May 2024 at Strathallan Games Park in Bridge of Allan; understands that, from the proceeds of the 2023 show, Stirling and District Classic Car Club was able to donate £13,100 to nine local charities, including the Dunblane Centre, the Eilidh Brown Memorial Fund and Strathcarron Hospice; notes that, for 2024, the club is hoping to exceed that total; understands that the club chairman, George Waddell, has expressed how grateful the club is to the classic car owners and members of the public who attend; acknowledges that, by their collective generosity, over £113,000 has been raised since the first show in 2005; further acknowledges that more than 700 classic vehicles were registered to attend the 2023 show by 47 different car clubs from right across the country; commends Stirling and District Classic Car Club on its organisation of the show, as well as its highly magnanimous charitable fundraising, and wishes everyone involved all the very best for a highly successful day.
