World Environment Day

That the Parliament recognises that 5 June 2024 is World Environment Day; acknowledges the 2024 theme of Generation Restoration and its focus on land degradation; encourages worldwide awareness and action to protect the planet; recognises what it considers to be the need for greater action in Scotland on land restoration, particularly in relation to peatlands, and believes that Scotland can play an important part in the world’s approach to land restoration by improving the global environment and tackling the climate and nature crises.
