Congratulations to Ardrossan Winton Rovers FC on its West of Scotland Football League Second Division Title

That the Parliament congratulates Ardrossan Winton Rovers FC on winning the West of Scotland Football League Second Division title; understands that the North Ayrshire side sealed the league title with an exhilarating 5-4 win against Caledonian Locomotive at Winton Park on 4 May 2024; is aware that the title was sealed in front of a bumper crowd after initially going 3-1 down, and was due to a stunning final five minutes in which Gavin Friels’s men scored three goals; acknowledges that Ardrossan Winton Rovers FC is a historic club, founded in 1899, which has throughout the decades won numerous honours, including Ayrshire District League titles and Ayrshire Cups; notes that the game was attended by Three Touns footballing legend and Celtic FC Lisbon Lion, Bobby Lennox, whose grandson featured in the match for Rovers, and wishes club chairman, Pat Breen, and everyone involved with Ardrossan Winton Rovers FC every success in their future endeavours.
