James Aiton Primary School Achieves Respect Me Award

  • Submitted by: Clare Haughey, Rutherglen, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 08 May 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-13110

That the Parliament congratulates James Aiton Primary School in Cambuslang on being the first school in South Lanarkshire to achieve the Respect Me award for its efforts in developing and promoting anti-bullying policy and practice; recognises what it sees as the significant efforts by staff, pupils and the wider school community towards ensuring that all pupils have consistent and positive experiences in school, and acknowledges what it considers to be the power that a whole-school approach to anti-bullying can have, and the real difference that it can make to the lives of children and young people.
