  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 07 May 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-13094

That the Parliament congratulates Annabel Reilly and Maura MacPherson, two 10-year-old girls hailing from Westerton, on what it sees as their extraordinary achievement of earning the prestigious Brownie Gold Award, which, it considers, is a remarkable feat that marks them as trailblazers in the district; believes that their commitment is evident in their completion of six themed awards, each representing a pillar of personal growth, namely Know Myself, Express Myself, Be Well, Have Adventures, Take Action, and Skills for My Future, in addition to conquering a final challenge that undoubtedly tested their mettle; acknowledges what it considers to be the indispensable role played by volunteers in sustaining the Westerton and Bearsden Brownies unit, whose unwavering dedication ensures the continuity of such valuable programmes for the benefit of youngsters in the community, and wishes Annabel, Maura and their peers all the best as they transition to new horizons in their journey ahead as Guides.
