  • Submitted by: Craig Hoy, South Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 14 March 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-12491

That the Parliament welcomes the latest round of Asda Foundation grants in the Scottish Borders; notes that the grants, which, it understands, have totalled more than £1.5 million in community projects and good causes in Scotland over the last two years, are designed to make communities around Asda stores better places to live and work for the company’s colleagues and customers; welcomes the award of £800 to the Eildon West Youth Hub, the £287 award to Bright Green Nature, the £500 grant to the Quarriers Resilience for Wellbeing Service, and the £1,600 award to Lauder Primary School PTA; notes that these projects were nominated by the people and communities in the Scottish Borders, and thanks all those involved in these groups for their efforts and commitment.
